When buying real estate in the Netherlands you will be charged a transfer tax.
The transfer tax for residential real estate is 2% of the purchase price, for all other real estate, i.e. commercial, the tariff is 6%.
When you buy a property with a divided purpose between residential and commercial the transfer tax will be distributed proportionally.
Example: On the residential part (e.g. 70%) of the property you will pay 2% transfer tax and on the commercial part (e.g. 30%) 6%.
